In this very sensitive area, both expertise and a particularly empathetic approach are required. Our goal is humane and patient-oriented treatment based on the current state of research, providing our patients with comprehensive and targeted diagnostics and therapy, addressing their individual needs at a high medical level.
The scientific focus of our clinic is on modern laser proctology and general proctological issues. As a training center for laser proctology, we also regularly offer workshops with international participation.

How many laser-assisted proctological procedures are performed here at the Center for Coloproctology each year?

Each year, 500 - 600 laser-assisted proctological procedures are performed at our Center for Coloproctology - with an upward trend. This makes us the leading laser center in Germany (rank 1) and also one of the top addresses in Europe (rank 2).

What technique do you use for minimally invasive treatments in sensitive areas?

Our center is equipped with the most modern diagnostic possibilities.
We offer all operations of modern coloproctology, including minimally invasive laser surgery for hemorrhoids (LHP®), fissures and anal fistulas (FiLaC®), as well as pilonidal cysts (SiLaC®), to treat them as gently as possible.

What advantages do these procedures offer patients compared to conservative treatment methods?

Surgical interventions using lasers are a minimally invasive and low-pain method for treating the most common conditions in coloproctology. Unlike traditional therapy options, cuts and the creation of larger wound areas can be avoided. The procedures can be performed under spinal or general anesthesia.

Are the costs of these laser-assisted therapies covered by health insurance?

Yes, the treatment costs are now covered by many statutory health insurance companies. Aid offices and private insurers also cover the costs of medically necessary treatments.
